WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO AMERICA?

Envisioning a hopeful future for America stirs deep emotions within me as a senior citizen. Having witnessed the transformation of this country over decades, I find myself reflecting on the ideals that once made America a beacon of hope for all nations and nationalities. In my youth, I remember a time when optimism reigned, when diverse communities came together to work towards a common purpose, fostering cooperation and understanding. Yet, as the years progressed, that hopeful vision has been clouded by divisions fostered by oppression, racism, and suspicion. America has become a place where distrust is rampant, where the darkness of hatred and untrustworthiness casts a long shadow over our communities. I see echoes of ancient societies like Babylon and Sodom and Gomorrah, where moral decay seeped into the fabric of the nation, leading to despair and destruction. The call for renewal is urgent. We must awaken the values that once united us and dream of a nation redeemed, a land where love and cooperation reign, paving the way for a brighter and hopeful future.
